Arayuz Campaign is a civil society organization that draws attention to the obstacles to youth political participation and aims to eliminate the lack of youth representation in order to make democracy function in Turkey.
Launched on May 19th of 2020, Arayuz Campaign engages in evidence-based advocacy and youth policymaking to address the lack of youth representation.
It emerged out of the need for an unmediated, unfiltered and safe public space where young people can share their problems, demands and experiences with political actors.
Civil society, politicians, media and young people came together to discuss youth issues at the summit. The aim of the event is to create public opinion on the lack of youth representation by approaching the problems in detail and showing solidarity in common areas of struggle.
In order to empower young politicians and support them to take stronger positions within their parties, the program will include a total of 12 trainings on different themes such as youth sociology, human rights, civil and political activism.
We analyze experiences and the current situation in the form of research reports, monitoring reports, briefings and policy recommendations to accumulate knowledge on youth representation and participation.
