Dr. İnan İzci

Dr. İzci has taken on various roles in the public, civil, and private sectors, including consultant, researcher, project developer, and trainer. He began his professional career in 2001 in London as an Advisor at the Citizens Advice Bureau and started his career in Türkiye in 2007 as an EU and Foreign Affairs Expert at the Istanbul Special Provincial Administration. From 2009 to 2013, he served as the EU and Foreign Affairs Coordinator at Sarıyer Municipality. Between 2013 and 2017, he worked in the private sector as a consultant in areas such as sustainability strategy, corporate social responsibility, and project management.

In 2017, he joined the Argüden Governance Academy as a governance expert and researcher. During this time, he carried out various research and model development activities on topics such as governance scorecards, inclusive governance, and sustainable urban development. In addition, in 2019, he served as a consultant for the World Bank’s Municipal Financial Governance Project. Since 2022, he has been responsible for coordinating the European Label of Governance Excellence, granted by the Council of Europe in Türkiye.

Dr. İzci places a strong emphasis on volunteer work in his professional life and has contributed to the projects and initiatives of organizations such as the Network of Checks and Balances (Denge ve Denetleme Ağı), Transparency International Türkiye, MSGSU Urban Implementation and Research Center, and the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye.

He has been invited as a speaker and contributor to various global events organized by international institutions such as the United Nations, OECD, and the World Bank. Dr. İzci has published works in the fields of good governance, public governance, and sustainable development.
